Kumar's curatorial practice engages with systems and aesthetics that examine and order the world – from form to entanglements –through performance. Her research and practice intersect corporeal literacies, neuroscience, somatics, political philosophy, physiology, art & science, movement, and visual arts, applying disciplinary rigor from her dance training to challenge conventional modes of learning and perception.

Over the years, she has produced work spanning research, writing, editorial projects, performances, mixed media installations, paintings, media art, publications, and community-centered initiatives across Mumbai, Bangalore, London, Fort Kochi, Greece, Goa, Utrecht, and Lisbon. Her texts have been featured in Transmission in Motion (2020), Junctions Journal (2021), ARIAS Amsterdam (2022), Kochi-Muziris Biennale (2023), 4K/less (2023), Contemporanea (2024), and Arte Capital (2024).

She founded Stage Rabbit, a studio which conceives, produces, manages, and disseminates work of artists from Portugal, India, Belgium, and Spain. She also develops curatorial projects independently, through Instytut B61 and a long-time collaborator Jan Świerkowski, and SPHERE.

She has collaborated in curatorial, programming, artistic, and production capacities with Shoonya Centre for Art and Somatic Practices, G5A Foundation for Contemporary Culture & cityLab, ARIAS Amsterdam, IMPAKT [Centre for Media Culture], The Story Of Foundation, and We Learn We Grow. Additionally, she serves on the executive board of SPHERE and is part of the editorial team for Diffractions Journal at UCP.

An FCT Scholarship Awardee (2023) for a PhD in Culture Studies, Kumar is a PhD candidate at Universidade Católica Portuguesa, focusing on performance theories, tacit behaviours, and institutional structures—offering new heuristic readings of diasporic, hybrid, and doubly conscious curiosity in encounters.
